Sometimes I like to be able to fill up a carafe with water without having to walk.over to the cupboard.. Why use hooks for coats and hats when you could hang up a little Fall wreath instead?.
Well, maybe not about the wreath thing.. Here’s what this area really looks like:.Even if I try to pretend this little wall of hooks is just like my dream mudroom, it just doesn’t work.. And that’s just fine.Having this little area to put all of our ugly, brightly colored, real-life things really does make our lives easier.
For this point in our lives, if I’m looking for the perfect mudroom/drop zone/entryway all I need to remember is to keep it simple and keep it real.. And to not be ridiculous.I just love a good low-cost/no-cost DIY pillow solution to add a little cheer to my day. There are so many great ideas out there to turn unexpected things into pillows and I admit I may be developing a bit of an addiction to these easy crafty tricks.
Place mat pillows?
I was all over that about two years ago.. Walmart flour sack pillows., this project was free!.
I may use fabric that’s a little more Eastery-looking next time I do this, but for this one I just used what I had on hand.It was one of those moments where I had an idea and it seemed too good to be true!
I just had to try it out right away and see if it would really work..Want a little more (practically free) Easter inspiration?.
